Eyedeal establishes academician expert workstation

On May 24 Xi’an Eyedeal Medical Technology Co., Ltd. hosted an event to launch its academician expert workstation. Chinese and foreign guests included Lan Zhuangli, deputy director of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Leonard Pinchuk of the National Academy of Engineering, Li Yixiang, inspector of the Xi’an Association for Science and Technology, and Yang Hua, deputy director of the Xi’an High-tech Zone Management Committee, and other provincial and municipal leaders.

Deputy Director Yang Hua stated, “Xi’an High-tech Zone attaches great importance to the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and international technical cooperation and exchanges.”
He expressed hope that more overseas experts can participate in Xi’an’s innovation and entrepreneurship, and offered them Xi’an High-tech Zone policy support and services.

Inspector Li Yixiang said, “The construction of academician expert workstations in enterprises is an important measure taken by the Xi’an Party Committee and government to create a good business environment and promote the rapid development of the local economy. The Municipal Association for Science and Technology will work hard to ensure the healthy and smooth development of the workstations, and hope that enterprises will play the role of scientific research platforms and make new contributions to technological innovation and the training of local talents.”

Deputy Director Lan Zhuanglie expressed hope that Xi’an Pura will seize the opportunity, continue to attract global talent, and carry out high-level international scientific and technological cooperation, give full play to the technical leadership role of academician expert workstations, continue to improve independent innovation capabilities, and cultivate internationally competitive professional innovation teams.
She added, “The Provincial Department of Science and Technology will work with relevant units to continue to optimize support policies for various science and technology introduction projects, provide more efficient and convenient services for foreign experts to work in China, and create a superior employment environment for science and technology to help Shaanxi accelerate innovation.”

Academician Leonard Pinchuk said, “The new generation of intraocular lens materials lead the world in terms of chemistry, biology, technology, and optical properties. New intraocular lens products will benefit patients all over the world. I am very happy to work with Chinese partners. They are very energetic, diligent and hardworking, and we look forward to developing the Xi’an High-tech Zone.”

After the unveiling ceremony, academician Leonard Pinchuk delivered a lecture to the guests and researchers present.
